Horrible... Earthquake!

Did you feel an earth tremor?
We had an earthquake.
The news reporter said that the hypocenter was around Hukusima.
Hukusima is one of Niigata's neighbors.
And I soon mailed my family to ask how they were doing.
They were doing good and the tremor wasn't strong, which made me relieved.
Japan is the country of earthquakes, so we have to fight earthquakes.
Especially for people in Niigata, an earthquake is really horrible.
Most of you know why, I understand.
Niigata had a greatly big earthquake in 2004.
My cousins' family terribly suffered because they were living near the hypocenter.
I want it never to happen again.

Ah, the word EARTH reminds me - do you like a little older music?
For example, 1970s or 1980s.
One of my favorite bands is Earth, Wind And Fire, an American R&B and disco band.
Maybe you've listened to some of their songs.
I really want you to try this band!
I introduce their famous songs.

Rainy, rainy, rainy.

Hi!
How are you doing?
The weather hasn't been good these days.
The climate is greatly changing.
Especially the temperature!
It's getting colder and colder...
This reminds me of my hometown in Niigata.
We have a lot of snow in winter!
Have you ever seen two meter snow walls?
You can see them in Niigata!
And if you feel interest in skiing, why don't you go skiing?
There are good ski grounds in Niigata.
Gosh...
I miss my hometown...

Some of you know that I'm a drummer, I guess.
And the day for school festival is drawing near!
I belong to a band circle and I'm going to perform at Sagamihara festival as a band.
But we have to pass the selection to choose the bands that will perform at the festival.
Now we're waiting for the result...
The result aside, we're going to play some rock music.
'American Idiot' by Green Day, 'The Hell Song' by Sum 41 and 'Neomelodramatic' by Porno Graffitti.
They are quite famous songs and loved by so many people.
I think you've listened to them before.

I'm sorry that I couldn't find the good video of 'Neomelodramatic' in You Tube.
Anyway, if you have time, please please please come and see our gig!
I hope you'll enjoy it!

By the way, I went to the chapel in AGU today... no, yesterday.
This was the second time to be there.
I'm not a Christian, but I'm really interested in the connection between faith and music.
Hymns for Christians, the Koran for Muslims, Okyo for Buddhists...
However, there is strange connection these days.
Some Christian musicians sing songs about Jesus Christ or the Bible with rock and pop music.
I think it is good because it is easier for young people to accept rock and pop music rather than hymns.
But, of course, there are a lot of criticism.
Some say it is profanity to sing to God with DIRTY rock music with SACRED words.
What do you think about this difficult problem?
Well, I agree with both sides.
Okay, I give you an example.
This song is called 'Sound Of Melodies' by Leeland, a rock band from America.
Please ignore the subtitle in the video below.

How was it?
This song got many awards.
The song is great, but the problem is another.
Too hard for me to consider the religious matter.
So tell me your opinion!

Already four o'clock!
Well...
Good night.

Blog started!

Hi, friends and Mr.Richardson!
My name is Hisataka Kuzumi.
Some of you know my name, others don't.

We had the first class of this semester yesterday.
I was glad to see my friends!
And the number of class members increased, didn't it?
How do you do, new classmates?
It was nice to see you and I felt that this class would be good one.
Also, I was really relieved to know that our teacher was kind and cheerful man.
Now I don't have to kill myself by jumping off The Gun Metal Colored Bridge!
Anyway, let's enjoy our IE calss!
Oh, that reminds me.
Maru, Yusuke and Ai-chan, we have to choose the discussion leader for the next class.
Who goes first?

By the way, I was interviewed for a job in cafe located in Hachioji.
Actually it was like an explanation of the job rather than a job interview.
The interviewer told me that he will give me a phone call to let me know whether I can get the job or not next Saturday, so I have to keep feeling uneasiness until Saturday night.
uhm.....

Wow!
This TV advertisement uses 'Do You Want To.'
It is a song by Franz Ferdinand, a British pop band and I like the band.
They write a lot of pop and rock music that people all over the world love.
They've already released three fantastic CDs from Domino Recording Co. and I have all of them.
If you want to listen to those CDs, tell me anytime!
